After the demise of the Seminole Coal train through the Appalachicola Northern
in January 1999, the Material Transfer Inc. engine was unemployed and left
sitting in Port St Joe. It was then transfered in August 2001 to Junction
City, Ga, then to Clyatville, Ga. There, it will probably complement and
maybe replace GP9 184 which had mechanical problems.
