OPERATIONS

Railnet
Very few changes actually took place after the take-over as far as operations are concerned. The Thomasville turn power is now being kept in a remote area of the CSX yard in Thomasville instead of Camilla. The train runs during the day instead of late afternoon. The Valdosta turn still runs from early in the morning. The Perry turn runs late in the evening and into the night. The only noticeable thing is the power. Most of the old IC GP10s were gone or relegated to yard service. They were replaced by Helm leased power which was later bought (?).

Adel, Ga; August 1999.
The Valdosta turn just got on the NS track in Adel. Once in Valdosta, the plan is to drop off the cars and run around the train to pick the load for Albany.

Valdosta, Ga; August 1999.
Running around in the Norfolk Southern yard.

Camilla, Ga; June 2000.
On the old GAS&C, the Thomasville turn switches at the peanut plant then heads back toward the junction with the old ACL Albany-Thomasville line.

Adel, Ga; September 2000.
Power for the Adel to Perry: Conrail lives on as the Guilford paint job fades away!!!
The leased engines were bought ??? by Railnet.

Between Greenville and Perry, Fl; January 2002.
Late in the afternoon, the Perry turn is heading for the papermill in Foley.

Albany, Ga; October 2002.
Transfer job to NS heading for the bridge across the Flint River with a duo of  "rescued" ex-IC GP10 with the erased G&O logo.
