Sommerville, Tx; September 1999 A pair of Santa Fe's are working the yard. One unit has been renumbered
for BNSF and the other one has not.
Magnolia, Ar; December 1998. Two days after Christmas, the frost from the winter storm is almost
all gone. Louisiana and North West is back at work. This unit with the
orange rotating light on top of the cab, typical of Southern Pacific, is
on the train heading toward Homer and Gibsland, Louisiana.
Savannah, Ga; August 1997. The Savannah Shops and Museum have this version of a GP35. In order
to get their high short hood, long hood forward GP35s, Southern traded
their Alcos whose parts such as the AAR B trucks were recycled in the GP35s.
