More information coming soon I hope!

Lake City: Grain elevator.

M740
Industries:
Quincy: mine spur and processing plant.

December 1999; Quincy, Fl.
A  few months after the merger with Conrail, 5959 lands in Chattahoochee to run the locals including M740. Conrail in Quincy, who would have thought????? The train comes from Chattahoochee and backs into the mine spur.

M741-M743
Bainbridge Subdivision.
Notes: both trains operate on the Bainbridge subdivision. 743 uses the same power as 741 and leaves as soon as 741 returns from his run.

Industries:
Tallahassee by Mission Road: rock Quarry.
Hanson (North Havana): lumber and woodchipps.
Attapulgus: mine spur and processing plant.
Bainbridge CSX yard South of the Flint River: traffic interchanged with CSX Bowline and Georgia Southwestern RR (which now owns the rest of the old Georgia Florida & Alabama RR line, later Seaboard Air Line to Richland; This might change as of early 2002; HOG might pick up those duties).

Tallahassee, Fl; September 1997.
The local has 2 GP38-2 in the lead, a rare sight out of Tallahassee. The normal consist had been 2 B23-7.

Tallahassee, Fl; December 1999.
Good start for the crew of M741 who gets to ride the quite road slug. The train just went through the GF&A connection and has entered the Lake Jackson block. In the Attapulgus block, the train will switch the Engelhard rock mine and processing plant. This is generally an all-day job. When the train comes back to the Tallahassee yard late in the afternoon, the engines are transfered to M743 which leaves the yard for Bainbridge right away.

Tallahassee, Fl; February 2002.
After a long day at work, I catch the returning M741 heading back for the yard long hood forward with a GE Dash 8 40B. I forget to check the settings on the camera. Speed 1/15, exposure: wide open: *$%#)(^@#@$^)
