Greenville, Fl; April 2000. Recently acquired by CSX in exchanged for older power, GP60 LLPX 6001
seen here on intermodal Q101 is still untouched but soon to be renumbered
6897 for CSX.
Tallahassee, Fl; May 2000. A somewhat late comer into the leasing market was RMGX with their former
BN Dash 7s. 5036 a C30-7 is on eastbound freight. Most of these engines
were going to be stored in Cordele, Ga after the leasing frenzy subsided.
Tallahassee, Fl; May 2000. A westbound freight has untouched MPI (MKCX) 9019 SD40M-2 which was
actually on the Helms roster by this date.
Tallahassee, Fl; June 2000. Another rich Q602 consist: KCS 600, an original KCS SD40-2, was part
of a deal with CSX which brought several KCS units to the area for a few
weeks. It is followed by EMDX 204 (RICHARD T.) a GP40-2M soon to be sold
to LLPX and renumbered 4401.
Tallahassee, Fl; June 2000. Helms purchased a lot of the Morrison-Knudsen units but it took a while
for Helms to apply any kind of markings on them. HLCX 6060 was probably
renumbered from the MK 9000 series.
Tallahassee, Fl; June 2000. A smaller player was LRCX here with 8108 C30-7 on Q605.
