South Central Georgia: June 2003. Albany to Dawson Albany to Sasser: Rail Trail. Some track left but mostly overgrown. Trail is not
being maintained. Sasser to Dawson: Former Seaboard Air Line. Just south of the Chickasawhatchee Creek crossing. A Southern boxcar is sitting on a trackside property
that also includes a large pile of rotten railroad ties. Track condition
beyond repair is typical of the line. Dawson Industrial Park South of Dawson Track is used for storage as the rust on the wheels
of this hopper shows. The line of hoppers viewed from the north.
