Trip to NMRA 2002 in Fort Lauderdale,
Fl July 2002
Tri-rail Saturday-Sunday At West Palm, the old Seaboard Air Line depot is now being used
by Amtrak, Tri-Rail, the Greyhound Buses and the local bus lines. Saturday afternoon after the show, I try to grab some action before
sunset. First is a northbound Tri-Rail in the push configuration. It is
almost difficult to figure out if the palm trees are real of part of the
paint job. Sunday Fort Lauderdale Tri-rail southbound: because of MOW work on the CSX line, the southbound
comes into the station on the left side. It supprises nobody except the
ignorant railfan.
Deerfield On Sunday morning, after the Silver Meteor clears the Deerfield
station, I wait for one more Tri-Rail. The northbound gets in right on
time.
